What We Do

The goal of the association is to provide Christian fellowship for the children in the local home school setting but also for the adults as we meet to discuss issues concerning the group or to go on field trips. Also, these connections, we hope, will form support group for parents as they deal with the different aspects of homeschooling.

At this time,our only events are our field trips, which occur once each month and then the lunch meeting at Pizza Inn in Wiggins to let the children (and the adults) spend some time together between field trips. As the association grows we hope to do more and more.

Also, we have tentative plans for a banquet at the end of the year. This will also serve as a graduation celebration when that time comes for some of our students. We have no definite plans at this point but once made they will be posted here.

Note: In between the following field trips the association will meet for lunch. Dates are to be determined. Other events, if any, will be made available to members as soon as possible. All field trips are on a Friday unless otherwise specified.

November 12, 2004 - The Aquarium of the Americas, New Orleans, LA
December 10, 2004 - Camp Shelby Museum, Hattiesburg, MS
January 14, 2005 - Stennisphere, Hancock County, MS
February 11, 2005 - Audubon Zoo, New Orleans, LA
March11, 2005 - Dead Sea Scrolls in Mobile, AL
April 8, 2005 - State Capitol, Jackson, MS

Note: All field trips are on a Friday unless otherwise noted and all lunch meetings at Pizza Inn are on a Friday as well. The Pizza Inn lunches are generally, although not always, held on the 2nd Friday after the field trip. We’ll try and post an exact day here on the website under the Bulletins section.
